Exiled From Light is a representation of myself as a whole - Mort
Dimma Sinfonia was an Auckland based Ambient Black Metal project of Mort. Subsequently Dimma Sinfonia envolved into Exiled From Light in early 2008 and began working on the debut album under the new moniker soon thereafter entitled 'Descending Further into Nothingness'. Exiled From Light signed with Hypnotic Dirge Records in March 2009 in preparation for the release of the debut album, which was officially released on July 11th, 2009 by and was soon followed by the first Exiled From Light T-Shirt in August 2009.
Following the release of the debut album, and the first Exiled From Light T-Shirt, both of which occured in 2009 was the second Exiled From Light album which was to be titled `There is no beauty left here...` to be released once again on Hypnotic Dirge Records, this time as a lengthy double-disc release featuring almost 2 hours worth of music from Mort`s repertoire. July 22nd, 2010 marks the date on the latest Exiled From Light album proving once mroe that there is surely no fucking beauty left here, or anywhere else for that matter!
