Press Release: Funeral Fornication - Pandemic Transgression

Original Article: http://www.hypnoticdirgerecords.com/funeral-fornication---blog/pandemic-transgression-press-release-

Here is the press release for the forthcoming Funeral Fornication album entitled 'Pandemic Transgression'

FUNERAL FORNICATION

H.P. Lovecraft once wrote, “I have harnessed the shadows that stride from world to world to sow death and madness.” With those powerful
words in mind, Vultyrous, the man behind the band Funeral Fornication, humbly and respectively presents his latest offering Pandemic
Transgression to the masses. This latest full-length is scheduled for worldwide release mid 2011.

“Pandemic Transgression has been the biggest and most grandiose endeavour yet for Funeral Fornication.” Explains Vultyrous, “I feel that I have

tapped into something with the new material that I had not previously explored. There is new elements at work on the album, both in style and structure.
On the whole, I find the songs to be more progressive, more epic, more ambient, and at times, more symphonic while still maintaining the depressive black
metal edge, albeit soaked in atmosphere.”

Pandemic Transgression is the first full-length Funeral Fornication album that showcases not only Vultyrous' skills as a guitarist, bassist, and

orchestrator, but also his ability to sing as well as scream. “The clean vocals on Pandemic Transgression are much more upfront than they have been on
anything I've done prior with Funeral Fornication. The mix of clean singing, shrill screams, and low gutturals is something I always wanted to do, but
Solitude And Suicide was not the right album on which to showcase that. Pandemic Transgression is.” Says Vultyrous, “I can easily say that this album
is my best work to date.”

When it comes to theme, Vultyrous explores the notion of mankind being a disease, and with dark and often esoteric lyrics, tells of the shadows that stride

from world and world to sow death and madness. Our world is next. Doomsday comes in June 2011!

The album was recorded in Vancouver at Artep Studios, where it was mastered by Petra “Artep” Sobotka.

Furthermore, a couple of songs from Pandemic Transgression has recently been made public, and can be listened to on youtube at the following links:

Old Forgotten Lands - Primal

"Thousands of years after the creation of the earth, humanity is hopelessly lost. In a sea of synthetic fabrications and ways of life that are
impenetrable, one cannot even hope to find fulfillment without stressors to hinder it.

However, the earth still cycles as it always has, and the rains and snow have destroyed as much as it has created. In true chaos, nature has
an order. In this order, one can come to a haunting conclusion: that nature's simplicity is just as prominent as its confusion, and yet its ways
have surpassed ours a thousandfold for aeons.

In order for us to find what is fulfilling beyond ourselves, we need to look beyond what our selves have crafted. We need to look not after
ourselves, but before ourselves. We must not look toward the advanced for fulfillment, as it has lead us only to dread. We must long for a
time that is primal in nature.

We must find meaning in the unpredictable. We must learn to savor every bated breath we possess, to be grateful for scarce food, to feel
intimidation in the midst of great storms, to hunt before we are hunted ourselves, and to know that our enemies just might kill us. When we
take all of our advancements, protection, and strongholds away from ourselves, the bitterness of life all of the sudden will become sweeter.

The 'Primal' album is an experimental, yet bound group of works based off of this concept, and was crafted using a plethora of real, organic
instruments and featured collaborations with prolific, kindred spirits that were mostly recorded outdoors, as they should be. The results were
haunting..."

-Elan O'Neal

Funeral Fornication, Hypnotic Dirge Records, and netra T-Shirts coming in 2011
***There has been a lot of talk of printing t-shirts even dating back to 6 months ago, and t-shirt plans have always been pushed back due to lack of funds,
and needing to use the funds available on albums instead of T-Shirts, but I can assure you all that T-shirts WILL be coming for sure in 2011.
We have decided that Funeral Fornication, Hypnotic Dirge Records, and netra were the best choices for T-Shirt at the present time, but if all goes well, we
will also hopefully be releasing 3 T-Shirts in 2012 as well so that eventually each HDR artist can have its own T-Shirt release.

Funeral Fornication, and Hypnotic Dirge Records shirts are currently *planned* to be out in June 2011, at the same time as the Funeral Fornication - Pandemic
Transgression album release, and there will be certain package deals and sales at that time as well.

The Funeral Fornication shirt will likely be in an edition of 50, and the design has already been created and will be showcased in due time.
The Hypnotic Dirge Records T-shirt is currently being designed right now, and will be released in an edition of 100 due to a pretty high demand.
A netra T-Shirt is also in the works but probably wont be released until the second half of 2011.

'netra' and 'The Foetal Mind' receiving great reviews thus far!
***Although only a few of the 30-35 review copies we sent out for this batch of releases have been received, reviewed, and published so far, the early wave of reviews
for these two albums have been highly favourable, including a rating of 10/10 by one reviewer of the netra - Melancolie Urbaine album who called it the best release
of 2010 in any genre of music. (lots of competition considering it was released at the end of the year - December 16th)

I quote: "In my honest opinion of everything I have heard this album is the best release of the 2010 year not only in metal music but music in general. There is never a
dull moment and as mentioned this Quimpérois solo project did the unlikely and gave us an experiment that hits and truly breaks new ground for music in general,
almost redefining the genre of black metal. Not only does it stand above anything of the previous year, but this has secured a spot in my favorite albums of all time.
I must thank not only the artist but Hypnotic Dirge Records for helping me discover this modern classic. For such a small label, they release some of the most
underrated CDs in metal today, and this is no exception. As one may already assume I highly recommend this release, not only to metal fans, but eclectic music fans
in general. Be one of the 1000 copyholders, you won’t be disappointed and for $13 ($15 outside of North America) it is well worth the investment."

There are many more reviews to read for both the netra and TFM albums. If you are interested in reading more reviews, you can go here:

Massive 50 Title distro update coming in Late February/Early March
***Just a heads up that we have a large distribution update planned in late February/Early March in which we will add about 50 new titles to the distro.
I have not updated the distro for a while now, because of more and more trades arriving and wanting to wait until getting a large amount of titles to add, as well as
being busy planning new releases, promoting old ones, general label stuff, and also being fairly buusy in my personal life.

Once the distro is updated, expect new titles from the following labels:
Self-Mutilation Services, Total Holocaust Records, Solitude Productions, Avant-garde Music, Infernal Kommando, Obscure Abhorrence Records,
Goatowarex Records, Morbid Winter Records, Misnathropic Art Records, Endless Winter Records, Dusktone Records, Greytone Records, La Crepuscle du Soir.

If anyone is aware of these lables at all, you can see that these titles are coming from all over the world including 4 of the 6 inhabited continents
 (North America, Europe, Asia, Australia)
Please be patient for these new titles, it'll be worth it!
In the meantime, there are still 120+ titles available and in stock at the HDR distro, and 16 available official HDR releases. ">***********************************************************************************
