Two veteran doom-death bands - Eye of Solitude from England, and Marche Funèbre from Belgium - are set to release a very special split release on February 22, in partnership with Hypnotic Dirge Records and Cimmerian Shade Recordings. The split album, which will be released in a 6 panel digipack in an edition of 500 copies, will include one new song of epic length from each band, both of which were recorded in late 2017. The album will be available to order from both labels soon, as well as from the bands directly on tour.

Eye of Solitude
The Eye Of Solitude is the heart of forests where unsettled spirits dwell, it is the fear within, the carnal ripping of every thought when abandoned in despair, it is nightmare and enlightenment, a fearsome tide that carries the soul and mind onto dark realms of insanity.

The music is inspired by emotional distress, inner pain and a cruel combination of negativity and grief. Dark shapes that terrorize the soul and keep it captive on the altar of suffering, until when not being able to breathe any longer, it finds its end – a supreme escape towards peace and eternal rest.

Marche Funèbre
10 years have passed since 5 dark music lovers sealed a pact and formed Marche Funèbre, doom metal their game. With 3 full length albums and several small releases under their belt, the Belgian quintet has built a steady reputation of making a unique blend of eclectic doom death metal.

Marche Funèbre is a band that lives for and on the stage, so in their decade of existence 120+ gigs have been done in over 10 countries. We toured with some of the scene’s most prolific bands, think of Primordial, Novembers Doom, Ahab, Saturnus and the likes. All of this culminating in our first North American run of gigs, in March 2018.
