Hypnotic Dirge is proud to present its first release of 2023, the glorious yet gloomy return of New Zealand/Australia Orphans of Dusk.

It has been ten years since the band’s inception in 2013, and nine since their last offering on Hypnotic Dirge Records. In 2014, Orphans of Dusk released “Revenant,” a brilliant 4-song EP that conjured the grandeur of goth and death-doom blackest of the black.

Yesterday we brought you some good news but unfortunately I'm writing today with some disappointing news.

After years of operating in a legal grey area and shipping single CD orders outside of Canada as "lettermail" instead of a "parcel", CanadaPost is no longer allowing us to do so. By shipping single CD orders as a letter, we were able to bypass customs and also charge significantly less for orders of only 1 CD.

UPDATE: Hypnotic Dirge North American Store is now open!

The Hypnotic Dirge North American store is finally open again! Very relieved and excited to be sharing this news today after a lengthy hiatus! Although only the North American store is open for the moment, we are accepting international orders like always so there is no change there!

At some point this Spring, a EU store will open as well but a lot of the HDR stock that was shipped from Canada to Portugal is still stuck in customs and there are still a lot of logistics to take care of so that...
