Australasia - Sin4tr4 available for free download from Hypnotic Dirge Records!

Australasia is the place where unusual soundscapes come to life: ethereal guitars mix with blast beat drums and black metal riffing, giving birth to strange and fast-flowing tunes.

Here subterranean streams alternate with tidal waves, turning into cinematic pictures that can last just the blink of an eye.

Their debut EP 'Sin4tra' combines post-rock, black metal, and electronic music quite masterfully

"Australasia's debut album Sin4tr4 is quite a musical and evocative journey. The Italian duo blend punishing drums, both gentle and seething guitar, synth and some subtle samples to achieve an engaging and diverse assortment of soundscapes for the mind to digest.

Australasia's Sin4tr4 impresses. While the album is a mere 22 minutes; it is 22 minutes of awesome. The production quality is very sharp and Sin4tr4 flows quite well song to song... I continuously found I had the album on repeat for hours. The many textures, aggressive rises, delicate falls and changing fast and slow sections always keeping me engaged. There may not be enough sustained 'metal' for some listeners but fans of post-rock who appreciate the occasional heavier gust of sound will like Australasia. Sin4tr4 takes you on a sonic trip to the edge of madness one moment then plunks you down in a quiet green forest the next. Colourfully evocative and exquisitely actualized with compelling musicianship throughout, Sin4tr4 should not be missed.
