All one has to do is take a peek at the track listing before playing this to get an understanding of the enormity and scope they are about to undertake.

Epic is a very simple way to express only a small portion of what Immensity offer. Much like an eager to please pizza delivery guy they bring so much more to the doorstep, in this case our ears.

It would be very easy for me to merely mention Immensity’s similarity to other acts (I usually employ this tactic) for instance I could liken their fluid mournful and rather brilliant beautiful soundscapes to that of Swallow the Sun or October Tide (and I just did). Or I could mention their diverse vocal techniques and liken them to that of those utilized by My Dying Bride, Novembers Doom or Amorphis or a handful of other highly successful doom acts. It wouldn’t be going far enough though; some things are admittedly much harder to describe and put into words than others.

In short, for fear of running over into the realm of over analytical diarrhea, mentioning too many bands, wearing my fingertips down to nubs in my current state of auditory bliss induced excitement, this is…damn good!
Mesmerizing in a single word. Emotionally majestic to employ more than one I can’t however conjure a Congo line of others to do this justice.

A mere 5/5 rating doesn’t even come close.

Doom/death call this what you will but include the word amazing, give it a listen you can thank the scribblin’ crew later.

Note of interest; Hypnotic Dirge Records is based in Canada they are an independent non-profit label and offer downloads based on a donation basis.
Show them your support and while you do so discover an exciting slew of new refreshing diverse talent.
