Altars of Grief announces indefinite hiatus

Dear friends,

Unfortunately, after six years as a band, we’re announcing that we have decided to put Altars of Grief on hiatus for an indefinite period of time.

Words can’t express how grateful we are to everyone who’s followed us on this journey, and to all of the wonderful people we’ve had the privilege of meeting over the years. When we formed this band back in 2013, we couldn’t have imagined that it would grow into what it is now, or the kind of impact that it’s come to have on all of our lives.

We’re hoping to discuss the possibility of organizing at least one, final show. So, we hope you’ll keep an eye out for that announcement in the future. But, in the mean time we’ll be taking some time away to focus on our own projects, and personal priorities.

Know that we don’t intend for this to be the end of our musical endeavours together. This is just goodbye, for now.

Once again, thank you all so much for sharing this incredible piece of our lives with us.

Next Tuesday, we will be releasing Sertraline's new EP "These Mills Are Oceans" on digital platforms such as Bandcamp, Youtube, Spotify, Google Play, etc.

This EP is set to $3.00 for the duration of pre-orders.

75% of donations will go to Sertraline, 25% will go to Hypnotic Dirge.

The album will be set as a "Name-your-price" download starting on its release date.

No preview tracks will be shared ahead of time, but the full EP will be released in 6 days.

Hypnotic Dirge Records is now based in Victoria, BC

Hypnotic Dirge is now officially located in Victoria, BC, Canada.

It won't be immediate, but orders will begin to ship out over the course of the next 1-2 weeks. This process might take a bit longer than initially expected as many of the boxes are still in Canada Post's warehouses and there is quite a backlog of orders.

Quite behind on emails and messages as well so please wait up to 1-2 weeks for a response. I will try my best to get caught up as soon as possible!

Judgement has been in the works for many years, so it is with great collective relief and pleasure that we are able to finally make this colossal Symphonic Black Metal album available to the public.
