February 28, 2018The new album from Prairie Doom-Death band Altars of Grief is fast approaching - due for official release on March 21.
We are now taking pre-orders for Iris as well a new limited Altars of Grief shirt, and some larger packs for the true doom fanatics.
Following the acclaimed Of Ash and Dying Light split album of 2015, Canadian Prairies doom metal juggernaut Altars of Grief is back with Iris, a second full length album of devastating proportions. This new blackened doom offering introduces new levels of dynamics and textures, and while it is the more accomplished work from the Saskatchewan band to date, it also carries the darkness and light personality that Altars of Grief developed since 2013. On Iris, melancholy and storytelling reaches new depths of beauty and sorrow. Containing equal appeal and oppression in its aesthetic, this new album will raise the bar for Canadian Doom-Death.
Alongside the new album Iris, a new shirt has been designed based on the Iris album artwork from Travis Smith [Seempieces]. The shirt is printed on Gildan brand shirts and is available in sizes Small through XXL. Printing was handled by Cursed Earth Apparel.
An unmerrowed logo patch has also been made in limited quantities for this album, available only as part of the larger Altars of Grief packs.
In addition to the Iris packs, you can also order a pack which includes Altars of Grief's split album with Saskatchewan black metal act Nachtterror, released on vinyl in the summer of 2015.
