Oregon has become a hotbed for atmospheric black metal, and depressive black metal NONE is probably one of the most captivating new additions to the scene. The enigmatic outfit from Portland is scheduled to release the follow up to their self-titled album on April 11, on Hypnotic Dirge Records. Capturing the haunting spirit of the Cascade Range, NONE delves deeper into the blackest woods to find abandonment, and developing its tortured personality further.
A new track from NONE’s upcoming album Life Has Gone On Long Enough is now streaming exclusively on
Echoes and Dust. Clocking in at 7:52, “Desiderate” portrays the various moods of the album with its slow-bleeding drums, its tortured screams, and bleak music dying into 3+ minutes of thick foggy atmosphere.
