Crawling from my speakers with a ponderous pace, the New Zealand/Australian band Orphans of Dusk is an amazing amalgamation of gothic doom in the vein of Type O Negative and Woods of Ypres, and death doom like old Katatonia and My Dying Bride.

Pochi giorni fa avevo benevolmente tirato le orecchie ai Luna, nella persona dell’unico musicista coinvolto, in quanto l’ultimo full length si mostrava eccessivamente derivativo, benché questo sia un aspetto, almeno in ambito doom, al quale normalmente attribuisco un peso del tutto relativo.
