Pinacles austères is the debut mini-album from Ianthin, the singular vision of Jérôme Bouquet. Ianthin’s music has its roots in metal, particularly doom and black, but also takes the liberty of exploring other universes. Threads of prog, pop, jazz permeate throughout the record, painting a rich tapestry on top of an underlying black metal maelstrom, crafting a sound that is unmistakably its own: heavy, dissonant, atmospheric, and strange.
